It’s the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Traffic, or World Drug Day. Across the U.S., States are decriminalizing cannabis, but there’s also a global trend to move away from the so-called War on Drugs.
Sanho Tree, director of the Drug Policy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies, joined CGTN America to discuss the growth of the marijuana legalization movement, how it differs from other Schedule 1 drugs, and how legalization impacts state tax revenue.
